MANUFACTURING 02
TAILWIND

A cutting edge expansion helping to accelerate the future of Air manufacturing innovation.

OVERVIEW

Nike’s IHM building expanded their 217,000 square foot facility by 140,500 square feet to increase production capacity and add needed branding and amenities.

The Air manufacturing innovation (AIR MI) facility in Beaverton, Oregon, is aptly named after Nike's legendary Tailwind shoe, the first to feature Air sole technology. The LEED certified expansion of the facility gave our team the opportunity to infuse the project with the rich heritage of Nike Air and the cultural significance of the Tailwind shoe through art installations, iconic quotes, t-shirt graphics and classic ads.

BRAND HIGHLIGHTS

NIKE GODDESS WINGS The human scale “GODDESS wings” piece incorporated custom-colored air bags provided by the Air MI team to create a fun interactive moment for employees.
